The 3rd Green & Sustainable Chemistry Conference took place on 13^th-16^th May, Berlin. This scientific meeting was organized by Elsevier in cooperation with the University of Lüneburg and ISC3 – International Sustainable Chemistry Collaborative Centre.

This conference provided not only a forum for chemistry related topics, such as synthesis and technical aspects of chemistry and its products, but also the broader context needed to enable long term viable and globally applicable contributions of chemistry to the SDGs.

LNEC research group participated with a poster entitled “Developing sustainable activated carbons for improved pharmaceutical compounds removal from urban wastewaters in the framework of LIFE IMPETUS project”.

Our colleagues Ana Paula Carvalho and Ana Sofia Mestre, from FCUL (Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa) presented the poster and they received a very positive feedback from other attendees of this conference!
